Where are you?

Post by FFF »

Hi guys, where are you all hiding?
Potsdam is over, not a single post, Beta für X#3 is on, not a word nor comment at all.
I hope, you aren't all switched off by the nasty fluelike nuisances the winter brings ;-)

Hi Karl,

Needed a little time to recover :)

Potsdam short review is incoming, about the beta, it's being tested extensively, if you check in github there are plenty tickets opened for it, so we're looking into them. In general it works well enough already, but as expected there are some issues that need to be ironed out.

Btw, missed you this year!

Glad someone is still alive
Yeah, didn't make it this time. Wife insisted on visiting at that date the "Juristenball" in Vienna... (Well, it was nice. 5000 visitors having fun - and served her right, as she unfortunately catched some ugly bacteria, so for a week now I act as nurse)

Hi Karl,
yes, Potsdam is over.... but I think most people is just arrived at home and has to recover the work days passed at the conference.
There were some really interesting session, for example seeing AI at work in XIDE, webservices magic, important performance tips.... and seeing the new team member Irwin performing...
About X# 3: it seems to have some issues and some changes, and personally I had not too much time to work with it as it currently it needs a separate machine and should not be used on the current work machine as previous beta versions.
And we discussed the SQL RDD that will also be moved forward.
Wolfgang
P.S. if you would like to know: other than the dark side (VS) and the bright side (XIDE) there seems to be some grey side (VS Code), with the relative language support for XIDE (and in the future also for Rider).

Had had a look, but can't look inside, as i didn't subscribe to the beta - like Wolfgang, atm i can't setup another machine for testing (and am not sure, if a VM on my 8.1 would suffice...)

Hi Karl,
I do have another machine for testing, but my all day work is on another machine.
But now that I'm recovering from my absence I will restart migration and testing work.
