Programmatic TWAIN control: a comprehensive TWAIN class allows to set and retrieve TWAIN values (DPI, contrast, brightness, size, etc), create customized scanner control dialogs, single or multi-page scanning ("silent scan" means no user intervention). It provides complete control over all aspects of scanning, thereby preventing users from selecting improper scanner settings (requires a fully TWAIN compliant scanner).

High Performance Image Processing -- Revolutionary support for very large images due to advanced memory management (e.g. can load a 100 MB image and rotate it in Win95 with 32 MB RAM). Advanced on-the-fly dithering of 24-bit full-color images (16 million colors) to display brilliantly in 8-bit (256 color). Advanced imaging filters: brightness, contrast, smooth, blur, invert, sharpen, detail, edge enhance, find edge, contour and more. Crop a mouse-selected or programmatically defined region of any image. Modify color depth (eg: 256 to 16 million, 16 million to grayscale, etc.). Full support for shared, exclusive and OLE color palettes. Mirror images by flipping them horizontally or vertically. Access all image information including size, number of colors, etc.

♦	Full Printer Support -- Complete run time interactive control of drawing printing via comprehensive dialogs (includes preview, margins, fit, etc) and Print class allows programmatic control of drawing printing (includes positioning, margins, sizing, etc).

Database Interaction -- Support for 32-bit ADO/ODBC, which allows to work with any ADO/ODBC database. Ability to use the database features to store images in any of the file formats supported. These features, when combined with the excellent compression options available, provide a solid base for building robust database applications such as those used in fields like Real Estate, Law Enforcement and Internet on-line shopping. Programmatically and/or interactively load images from files or from tables easily and efficiently.

Viewing -- Ready-to-use and fully integrated image gallery allows for access and organization of multi-page documents. Image navigator lets end users intuitively move around in a large image. Very fast and accurate zoom (industry leading) operations magnify an image in fractions of a second with total control over X and Y zoom factors. Interactive image magnifier lets end users zoom in on portions of an image without enlarging the entire image. Very fast orthogonal image rotation (90, 180, 270 degree) and single degree image rotation. Fit the image inside the viewing area (best fit, fit to height, fit to width, fit in window). Image panning via scroll bars or mouse dragging.

Customization -- At design time, customize the default runtime toolbar to control availability of approximately 20 common drawing operations. Toolbar includes load, scan, zoom, fit, size, filter, print, save as, etc. Optionally show progress gauge, assign program callback routines and display the image toolbar.
