Both editor screens have a toolbar that you can see below:
The buttons on this toolbar are from left to right:

Starts a wizard that helps in creating connection strings |

Connect |

Connects to the datasource. When the 'filter' checkbox is checked in the server editor, this causes the Table Range Window to open |
Disconnect |

Disconnects from the datasource |
Browse |

Browse the records for the selected table. Shows only columns and rows that meet the selection criteria specified |

Switches the editor in Class Mode. This will enable/disable some of the controls and alter the code generation. |
