RightSLE

Post by wriedmann »

Hi all,
in the last days RightSLE has been mentioned again, and therefore I decided to give it a try.
The original RightSLE page is available here:
http://www.wmconsulting.com/rightSLE.htm
I have downloaded now both Vulcan libraries (one for VOGUI and the other for Windows Forms and WPF), and ported the one for Windows Forms and WPF to X#, making some changes.
You can find the result here (one are the sources as a Visual Studio Project, the other the binaries):
https://www.riedmann.it/download/RightSLE-WF-WPF.zip
https://www.riedmann.it/download/RightS ... PF_bin.zip
But I was unable to port the VOGUI project to X, and it was Chris Pyrgas that has done it.
Here are the results (again one with the sources as Visual Studio Project, and the other with the binaries):
https://www.riedmann.it/download/RightSLE-VOGUI.zip
https://www.riedmann.it/download/RightSLE-VOGUI_bin.zip
I have asked Willie Moore for permission, but have not received any answer so far, but I think it is ok to publish these files.

Wolfgang,

I missed your message. Of course you can modify rightSLE. I released it info the public domain many years ago. I am in my 35th year with AT&T and they are not letting me do much programming. I am in network engineering and spend most of my time running network installations and troubleshooting network issues.

Regards,
Willie

Hi Willie,
good that you have found us here!
In the meantime I have adapted RightSLE to X# and put it to download from this page (mentioning of course that it is your project):

Wolfgang
P.S. I'm sure, all here including Robert, Chris and Fabrice, will help you if you would like to do some X# programming. X# has developed a lot in the last years, and it combines both a very high VO compatibility and many .NET features like Linq.

Willie, that was very nice hearing from you after a long time! Hope you are doing fine, despite not doing much programming anymore nowadays!
