is there a way to painlessly migrate from dBase to X#?

Post by Marco »

Greetings everyone; I just discovered this project, and it's pretty interesting; I tried the IDE for like 10 minutes, and I think it might fit our needs; the problem is, we have a legacy codebase written in dBase, with .wfm, .prj, and other files; is there a way to use xsharp as a drop-in replacement then work from there?

Marco,
To be honest: we do not have much experience with the latest version of dBase.
We need to take a look at the syntax for language extensions, such as how classes are created, and we also need to take a look at the file format of forms such as .wfm
If you can give us a small example project, we can take a look and tell you how easy or difficult it is going to be.
It also helps if we can get access to the (offline) dBase documentation.
